About Nonna's Kitchen Secrets
Our Story
So what is our story? Well, my grandparents emigrated to the US from Great Britain. When I was young we would visit them every weekend and I would stay with them for part of each summer. Every night before my bedtime, we would have tea. This became my favorite time of day -- although the cookies weren't my favorite as they had next to no sugar in them. My grandparent's gifted me this love of a quality loose leaf tea. My husband and I shared that love with our children and friends alike. During the pandemic many of our favorite tea shops around the county closed permanently. So we started to create our own tea blends. For health reasons we needed to make sure that only organic and non-GMO ingredients were used. We also wanted to shop local and ethically sourced ingredients. Happy with creating new and traditional blends, we shared some tea with friends and they encouraged us to start a tea business. So, we started with local farmer's markets and grew from there.
At Nonna's, we believe that loose leaf tea is more than just a beverage. Tea is a way to start the day, a pick-me-up during the afternoon, connect with others, and to enjoy a moment of relaxation in the evening. We welcome you into our tea family!
